Botric Review (2026): A Low-Cost, Audit-to-Content GEO Tool — With a Catch on Engine Coverage
TL;DR
Botric (botric.ai) is one of the more affordable AI-visibility platforms we tested, built around a genuine audit-to-content-to-recheck cycle and unusually thorough GEO infrastructure. It fits founders who want that workflow from $12.50 a month, but full four-engine coverage only arrives on its top $136 Infinity tier.
Strong fit if you're a small brand or founder who wants an audit-to-content workflow at entry pricing and are mostly focused on ChatGPT.[1][2][4]
Watch out if you need to track all four major engines: Claude and Gemini only appear on the $136 Infinity plan — the very engines the homepage names.[4][5]
What is Botric?
Botric's homepage headline is blunt: "Invisible in AI Search? We Fix That."[5] The pitch is that your buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude for recommendations, and Botric works to make sure your brand is one of the names they get.[5] The product is organized into three connected engines — AI Visibility, Content Agent, and AI Support — plus an Enterprise tier.[1][2]
The premise isn't controversial. Gartner predicts traditional search-engine volume will fall 25% by 2026 as buyers move questions to AI chatbots and virtual agents.[12] Botric's founder frames the shift plainly: "Today, instead of typing keywords into search engines, people are asking questions directly to AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity," writes founder and CEO Ved Prakash, who adds that "a business can have great SEO and still be ignored by AI systems simply because its content lacks clarity and structure."[11] That thesis — visibility now depends on structured, machine-readable content for generative engine optimization — is the ground Botric builds on.
The company operates as BotricAI Inc, registered at a Wilmington, Delaware address, with contact at hello@botric.ai.[5] Its published case studies are small-to-mid-size clients (Luminary AI, Grey Aesthetics), and its homepage logo wall features SMB brands rather than enterprise names — there are no G2 or Product Hunt badges or star ratings on display.[5] This is a founder- and small-team-oriented product, not an enterprise procurement play.
Feature-by-feature
AI Visibility ("Be the brand AI recommends"). The measurement engine: a Visibility Audit that baselines how AI describes your brand, weekly Citation Tracking, Search Readiness (schema markup, llms.txt, entity engineering), Prompt Discovery, Competitor Benchmark, weekly re-testing, and sentiment analysis.[1] Botric publishes its AI-visibility score formula openly: mention rate 40% + citation rate 25% + position score 20% + sentiment 15%.[1] The onboarding is framed as three moves — Audit → Track → Fix.[1]
Content Agent ("Publish content AI cites"). The execution engine: comparison pages, answer articles, FAQ-and-schema generation, entity engineering, brand-voice control, a 12-dimension Rankability score, prompt-driven drafting, and GEO structure.[2] The stated flow is Gap Surfaced → Page Shipped → Citation Gained — visibility finds the gap, the agent drafts a page (with schema and entities) for human review, then citations feed back into the score and expose the next gap.[2] This three-page tie-in (Visibility → Content → back to Visibility) is Botric's core idea, and it's a coherent one.
AI Support ("Answer every question AI sends you"). A support layer: 24/7 AI agents across chat, email, and Slack, trained on your docs and brand voice, resolving roughly 80% of questions instantly and routing the rest to humans with full context.[6]
Enterprise. Custom pricing, a four-phase onboarding (Kickoff → Setup → Launch → Ongoing), with claims of 3–7 day onboarding and initial results in 30–60 days.[7]
Botric has also begun a per-platform landing-page cluster (/ai-optimization/{chatgpt,gemini,perplexity}), with three of eight planned engine pages live and five marked "Soon."[8] It's an in-progress, template-plus-custom content build rather than a finished matrix.
Pricing
Botric publishes five tiers. At test time an annual-billing promotion (50% off, through 2026-07-31) was showing discounted monthly figures; the table below lists original prices with the promo price in parentheses.[4]
| Plan | Price/mo (original) | Promo price | Engines covered | Prompts tracked | AI Blogs |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | — | ChatGPT | 5 | 0 |
| Bit | $12.50 | $7.50 | ChatGPT | 10 | 4 |
| Byte ("most popular") | $45 | $24.50 | + Google AI Overview, Perplexity | 20 | 12 |
| Infinity ("Scale-ready") | $136 | $74.50 | + Claude, Gemini (all 4) | 25 | 15 |
| Enterprise | Custom (not disclosed) | — | Custom | Custom | Custom |
Source: Botric pricing page, accessed 2026-07-21. Free requires no credit card and has no time limit; every tier (including Free) includes a Visibility Score audit.[4]
The catch is in the "Engines covered" column: Free and Bit track ChatGPT only; Byte adds Google AI Overview and Perplexity; and only the top Infinity tier ($136/month) covers all four engines — including the Claude and Gemini that the homepage names as places your buyers are asking for recommendations.[4][5]
Strengths
Botric earns real credit — especially on infrastructure, where we'll say so plainly.
Its GEO plumbing is done properly. Botric ships a nine-section llms.txt (with a glossary, ICP, how-it-works steps, use cases, and competitor context), a full
llms-full.txt, machine-readable/ai/summary.json,/ai/faq.json, and/ai/service.jsonendpoints, a.well-known/ai.txtpolicy file, and JSON-LD that uses@idto build an actual entity graph.[3] For a company selling GEO, actually shipping this infrastructure is the credibility test — plenty of competitors describe it but never publish it, and Botric ships it more completely than several better-funded rivals. On this axis it doesn't lose to anyone.A coherent loop, not just a dashboard. The Visibility → Content Agent → Visibility cycle means the tool doesn't stop at "here's your score" — it drafts the pages meant to close the gaps and then re-measures.[1][2] That audit-to-execution motion is exactly what a small team without an SEO department needs.
Genuinely low entry price with a real free tier. A no-credit-card, no-time-limit Free plan that still includes a Visibility Score audit, and paid plans starting at $12.50/month, make this one of the more accessible tools in the category.[4]
Transparent scoring. Publishing the Visibility Score weights (40/25/20/15) is a confidence move — you can see exactly how the number is built.[1]
A rare self-referential engineering post. Botric's blog includes a "WordPress to Next.js migration" case study about its own build — an uncommon technical-credibility signal among GEO tools.[9]
What results does Botric report?
Botric's public numbers are self-reported case-study figures, not independent audits, so read them as vendor claims. Its most detailed example, medical-aesthetics brand Grey Aesthetics, reports 178+ AI citations, impressions up 2.5× (from 7.7K to 19.3K), domain authority climbing from 7 to 35, and 621 backlinks built — all inside a 60-day window.[10] Per engine, the same case study logs AI citation growth on ChatGPT (15 to 25), Perplexity (11 to 42), and Google AI Overview (8 to 23).[10] "Botric bridged that gap in ways we didn't think were possible in 60 days," says Shannon Hunter, CEO and founder of Grey Aesthetics.[10] A second client, Dana Farbo of FAIM.World, credits the interpretation over the raw data: "What impressed us most about Botric wasn't just the visibility data, it was the clarity behind it."[5] Treat these as directional, not benchmarked.
Limitations
Verified from our teardown.
- Full four-engine coverage costs the most. Claude and Gemini tracking only arrive on the $136/month Infinity tier; Free and Bit are ChatGPT-only.[4] If you specifically need the engines the homepage highlights, budget for the top plan.
- An entity-signal split in its own domain setup. Botric's JSON-LD and sitemap use
www.botric.ai, while links inside itsllms.txtuse the non-wwwbotric.ai(which 307-redirects) — a small inconsistency in the exact entity-signal hygiene the product sells.[3] - A publicly hard-coded scoring formula cuts both ways. Publishing fixed weights aids transparency, but also hands the methodology to competitors and risks drift if the weights ever change without the public files being updated.[3]
ai.txtis not an adopted standard. Botric ships.well-known/ai.txt, but unlikesecurity.txt(RFC 9116) orllms.txt(llmstxt.org),ai.txthas no official standards backing — it's a low-cost signal, not a required one.[3]- Social proof is SMB-scale. Case studies and logos are small-to-mid clients; there are no visible third-party rating badges.[5]
- Enterprise pricing is not disclosed. Custom quote only.[7]
- The per-platform page cluster is unfinished. Three of eight engine landing pages are live; five are marked "Soon."[8]
Who it's for / not for
A good fit if: you're a founder or small brand who wants an affordable, audit-to-content workflow — find the gaps, draft the pages, re-check — and you're mostly focused on ChatGPT (or can step up to Byte for Perplexity and Google AI Overview).[1][2][4]
Look elsewhere if: tracking Claude and Gemini is essential and the $136 Infinity tier is out of budget; you need enterprise-scale references and third-party rating validation; or you want a pure measurement instrument rather than a content-producing loop.[4][5]
How does BrandGEO compare?
Botric and BrandGEO share a philosophy — both are fix-first, audit-to-content tools for small teams rather than measurement suites for staffed marketing orgs. The overlap is real, and Botric's public GEO infrastructure is genuinely well-built, which we'll say plainly.
Where BrandGEO concentrates is the founder who already has a website but no SEO team and wants the shortest path from diagnosis to shipped fix: audit AI visibility, deliver a fix pack (generated llms.txt, structured data, and articles), then re-verify — without engine-coverage tiers gating the check. The difference isn't price (entry pricing is roughly level between the two); it's the nature of the deliverable. Botric is the broader, integrated platform (it also handles AI customer support); BrandGEO keeps its attention on one lean path — from a free audit to a fix pack you can ship. If you want an all-in-one with AI support, Botric's three-engine spread is wider. If you want a lean, fix-first path with a free audit and no upsell to see all your engines, that's the lane it occupies.
| Botric | BrandGEO | |
|---|---|---|
| Primary user | Founders / small brands[5] | Founders without an SEO team |
| Core motion | Audit → content → re-check (+ AI support)[1][2] | Audit → fix pack → re-verify |
| Full-engine coverage | Top $136 tier[4] | Free audit to start |

FAQ
How much does Botric cost?
Free ($0), Bit ($12.50/mo), Byte ($45/mo), and Infinity ($136/mo), plus a custom Enterprise tier. A 50%-off annual promotion was running through 2026-07-31 at test time. Free needs no credit card and has no time limit.[4]
Which AI engines does Botric track?
It depends on the plan: Free and Bit cover ChatGPT only; Byte adds Google AI Overview and Perplexity; the $136 Infinity tier adds Claude and Gemini for all four.[4]
Does Botric also create content, or just measure?
Both. Its AI Visibility engine finds citation gaps, and its Content Agent drafts pages (with schema and entities, for human review) to close them, forming a Gap Surfaced → Page Shipped → Citation Gained loop.[1][2]
How is Botric's Visibility Score calculated?
Botric publishes the weights openly: mention rate 40%, citation rate 25%, position score 20%, and sentiment 15%.[1]
Does Botric publish GEO infrastructure files like llms.txt?
Yes, and thoroughly — a nine-section llms.txt, llms-full.txt, machine-readable /ai/*.json endpoints, .well-known/ai.txt, and an entity-graph JSON-LD.[3]
How is BrandGEO different from Botric?
The two share a philosophy and roughly level entry pricing; the difference is the deliverable. Botric is the broader integrated platform (AI support, engines unlocked by tier); BrandGEO keeps to one path — free audit, a ship-ready fix pack, then re-verification — with the check itself not gated behind engine-coverage tiers.
